- I was once told that teaching 7th grade takes “stones.” For a girl who was raised by a woman who wanted her daughters to curl their hair and wear skirts everyday, I am willing to take that as a compliment. Born in Milwaukee, WI, I went to college on the east coast. In 2003, I moved to New Orleans. There was a hurricane in August, 2005. Due to that, I went to Paris to learn how to cook. It’s all come full circle: I’m back in Milwaukee, cooking and teaching, trying to make it all happen.

Congratulations! It looks awesome. I especially like the window in the attic (although it's hard to see in this picture). Owning a house is not a cheap endeavor, but it's so worth it. I know you must be so excited!
The eyebrow window? That's in the master bedroom. It actually a two story, even though it doesn't seem like it from the outside.
I need an architect for my kitchen. Know any?
